Helmia is a Helsinki-based jewellery brand that designs and handmakes sculptural, genderless pearl jewellery. We work with baroque, keshi, blister and freshwater pearls set in 925 sterling silver, plated in white gold. Every piece is made to order in Helsinki, Finland.

Founding Story
Founded in 2025, Helmia is a Helsinki jewelry brand that turns the pearl into sculpture: bold, asymmetric and genderless. We handmake every piece to order in Helsinki, Finland, from baroque, keshi and freshwater pearls and 925 sterling silver, plated in white-gold.
Why we design with imperfect pearls
Helmia began with a question about value. While travelling in Asia, our founders saw irregular baroque pearls being treated as second-rate next to perfectly round ones. We saw the opposite: in their uneven shapes, character instead of flaws.
So we design around the pearl as nature made it. Each baroque or keshi pearl has its own form, which means no two Helmia pieces are exactly alike.
Who we are
Helmia was founded by a couple Ven Chen (Co-founder & Creative Director) and Anniina Siekkeli (Co-founder & Marketing Director). Ven is from China, Anniina from Finland. Their designs meet between Eastern fluidity and Scandinavian minimalism.

What Helmia is
Sculptural: polished silver spheres orbit irregular pearls, turning each piece into a small sculpture.
Genderless: every piece is designed to be worn by anyone. Our pearl necklaces, earrings and rings are worn by women and men alike.
Statement, not classic: we design the pearl as modern, artistic jewelry, never as a traditional strand.
Handmade: each piece is assembled, shaped and finished by hand in Helsinki and checked before it leaves the studio.
Materials we use
Pearls: baroque, keshi, blister and round freshwater pearls. Grey pearls in the Orbita Nova line are colour-treated.
Silver: white gold-plated 925 sterling silver.
Stones: quartzite and black onyx in selected Lumina Grande and Vantaris pieces.

Orbita: baroque pearls held in orbit by polished spheres, including the Lumina Grande necklace and Orbita hoop and stud drop earrings.
Orbita Nova: Orbita recast in grey pearls. Limited edition.
Épure: keshi and blister pearls in reduced, fluid forms, including the Wave keshi pearl necklace.
